God's Plan for You

God has an awesome plan, and if I yield to it, he will make it come to pass! This is one of the hardest things in my life--that I have to surrender to. God has an AWESOME plan for my life. All I have to do is yield to it and he will make it come to pass or happen. To me that means that even after 63 years God has more that he wants me to do...more that he wants me to reach...more victories that he wants me to obtain. We are never a has-been in the service of the Lord as long as we continue to make ourselves vessels for his will. Look at Jeremiah 29:11-13:

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 NIV

God has promised, peace and joy and security, but I will have to fight if I want that to be in my life. Who am I going to be fighting with? I have looked at many people in my life whom I have considered to be the enemy. But as anger would subside I would realize that they were really not an "enemy" but actually people God placed in my life to strengthen my dependence upon him.

You see, God has a fantastic plan, and I have to make sure I am not the one standing in the way of it coming to pass; I have to make sure that I am not asking him to sow good seeds in a thorn patch;I have to allow him to work in me and change me, trusting him in my circumstances, sometimes using them to bring about his plan for my life.

Regardless of your circumstances, whether you have lots or little, God has a design and a plan for your life...but for that to come to pass, he must be not only your savior, but your master and lord also.

Now here is a free sideline; God will work in the circumstances of my life, if I let him. If however all I do is complain or worry and fret, that only serves to empower the circumstance or problem and make it larger that it really is.

For example; when the Israelites saw the attack coming, they could have gone to complaining about the fact they are wandering in the desert in the first place, and never got to the victory God had for them. Worry or complaining does nothing to solve the problem or fix it, it only empowers it to be bigger than it really is.

Or another way to put it; your marriage is going to get better because you do something about it, your finances are going to get better because you become proactive and do something about it, your health is going to better….

We can sit and complain or we can use the resources God has already given us and do something about it!
